Bangalore, 12 February 2016:VTU has now brought in new rules regarding the revaluation. We request each and every candidate to read through this article before they apply for revaluations.

Note: This rule is applicable only to the students who join the university in the year 2015-2016 and onwards. The 2014 and below batches will not get their marks reduced. 2014 and below batches have just got lucky.

Earlier as per VTU, The best of 2 marks, i.e. the highest marks before/after revaluation was considered as the final marks. But now in December 2015, VTU has changed the rule to “The marks after revaluation will be considered as the final marks”

As usual the results will be announced divided into 4 regions, this is just to avoid traffic on the website. Thus 2nd sem results may be split and announced in 3 days.

VTU (Visveswaraya Technological University) is one of the top Universities in India. And the #1 university for Karnataka, India. This university has 230+ colleges affiliated to it. There are more than 20 degree courses offered by the university across various branches. And we also know the VTU University is well to do as it has more than 5 lakhs students studying under the university.

But we are not able to understand who works on development of websites to the university. Recently VTU announced the 1st sem (New Scheme – CBCS) results and no students were able to check the results as there was bad sector and 404 errors in the VTU results page. It displayed the entire code to the users in place of results. The coding and UI used in the website has created lot problems to the students this year.

As VTU university collects huge amount of money from the candidates, the students at least expect the website to be bug free and loads as soon as results have been announced.

When student checks for his results, if the results are not announced yet, VTU displays the below page to the student: (Instead of saying – “The results have not yet announced”)

More over looks like the new Choice based Credit system is a big flog to the university. As we see a lot of students being not satisfied with their results. We see that most of the 1st semester students have received below par grades. With this new system, students are not able to see the marks they have received and thus has created a lot of problems and noise in the universities and colleges.

The students are not able to understand where they have lost marks or what is the exact/total marks they received. The snapshot of results for CBCS scheme looks like this:

Further adding to the drama, the marks scored may get reduced after re-valuation. Read more.

Thus the candidate has to first apply for photocopy, check where he lost marks, then apply for revaluations. This would cost Approx. Rs.1000 per subject per candidate.

We request to the university to fix all the results page related issues at the earliest.

Bangalore, 15 March 2016: Dr. H. Maheshappa, the vice chancellor of VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University), which is one of the top universities in India is suspended with immediate effect. The Chancellor of the state universities asked him to step down from the VTU, Headquarters office, Belgaum.

The Order issued by the Governor’s secretariat on March 14, 2015 reads as follows: “Dr H Maheshappa vice chancellor Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum is placed under suspension with immediate effect and untill further orders vide notifcation No: GS11 TUM 2014 (p) dated 14.03.2016.”

During the suspension of H. Maheshappa, the state chancellor has nominated Dr. H. G. Shekarappa Registrar (Evaluation) to carry forward all the duties of vice chancellor with immediate effect until further orders under section 13 (7) of the Visvesvaraya Technological University act 1994.

On the basis of reports submitted and by fact findings with proofs, the committee headed by Justice Keshavanaraya, Governor Vajubhai Vala issued a show-cause notice to H. Maheshappa on 29 January 2016 seeking explanation against 24 allegations. But even after 30 days, the vice chancellor did not bother to submit reply. According to sources from Raj Bhavan, the vice chancellor Maheshappa’s deadline to provide explanation was extended twice.

Considering the delay the chancellor insisted officials at Raj Bhavan on Monday evening to keep the order ready and issue it on Tuesday morning. Following the directions by the Governor Vajubhai vala the order suspending Maheshappa has been sent to VTU University via FAX around 10.15am on Tuesday, 15 March 2016.

The fact findings committee was framed and proofs were collected based on the allegations against Maheshappa in appointments, construction works conducted at campus, misuse of fixed deposits and many more areas. There were over 24 points given to the committee for inquiry.

Maheshappa is the second sitting VC to be removed. Soon after taking charge as governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Vala removed VC of karnataka university Dharwad Prof. HB Waliker.

Some of the major allegations on Dr. H. Maheshappa:
– Irregularities in awarding tender for construction works and purchase of various equipment and softwares in gross violation of KTTP act.
– Reduction of corpus fund which was more than Rs. 500 crore to significant levels.
– Irregularities in appointment of 168 teaching staff.
– Not following and honoring of his Excellency the Governor and Chancellor’s orders in connection with the appointment of UGC nominee to the executive council of the university.

And the photocopy of answer scripts have been already emailed to the students for higher semesters. The 1st year B.E students will receive their photocopy of answer scripts by the 2nd week of March.

The revaluation results are expected to be announced for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th semesters by 2nd week of March, i.e. before 12 March 2013. The revaluation results will not be announced by dividing into regions, instead every semester results will be announced at a shot. Thus there will be no waiting period as during the usual results.

VTU RESULTS JAN 2015:
29 Jan 2015, Bangalore: VTU B.E/B.Tech 3rd and 4th semester results for Mysore and Bangalore will be announced tomorrow; i.e. 30 Jan 2015 after 9:00 PM. Earlier it was said to be announced on 29 Jan 2015; which has been rescheduled to 30 Jan 2015.

27 Jan 2015, Bangalore: VTU B.E/B.Tech 3rd and 4th semester results will be announced tomorrow; i.e. 28 Jan 2015 after 9:00 PM for Belgaum and Gulbarga regions. Bangalore and Mysore region results will be announced on 30 Jan 2015, after 7:00 PM.

23 Jan 2015, Bangalore: VTU B.E/B.Tech 5th and 6th semester results for Bangalore region will be announced tomorrow, i.e. 24 January 2015 after 8:00 PM. The Mysore, Belgaum and Gulbarga region results will be announced on 25 January 2015 after 7:00 PM. The 3rd and 4th sem results will be announced next week on wards.

21 Jan 2015, Bangalore: This week VTU result 1st, 2nd, 7th and 8th sem results were announced for all regions. The 5th and 6th sem results are expected to be announced soon before the 3rd and 4th sem results.

VTU REVALUATION RESULTS 2014:
Bangalore, 6 September 2014: VTU 4th and 5th sem revaluation results announced today, i.e 6 September 2014. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th semester revaluation results will be announced within 3 days.

Bangalore, 31 July 2014: VTU 4th sem results for Mysore and bangalore region announced today, i.e. 31st July 2014. This completes the results for all the regions. The photocopy and revaluation details for 4th sem is as mentioned below. 3rd sem results to follow within 2 days.

29 Jan 2014, Belgaum:VTU 3rd and 4th sem Gulbarga and Belgaum region results announced today, i.e.Wednesday, 29 Jan 2014 between 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM IST.

28 Jan 2014, Bangalore:VTU 3rd and 4th sem results will be announced this week.

25 Jan 2014, Bangalore:VTU results 5th and 3rd sem to be announced from next week on wards. The final date have not been announced yet.

23 Jan 2014, 4:30 PM IST, Bangalore: VTU 7th Semester Results Announced today for Bangalore and Mysore regions. Along with 7th, even the 8th sem reults for all regions have been announced today, i.e. 23 Jan 2013.

19 Jan 2014, Bangalore:VTU results for 3rd sem B.E/.Tech will be delayed, since the VTU 3rd sem exams were been postponed, the exam lasted on 4th Jan 2014, But according to the statement of VTU Registrar, the papers correction have become very easy through digital evaluation and thus will be announced soon.

Jan 18, 2014, Bangalore:VTU results for 1st sem B.E/B.Tech Mysore and Bangalore region results announced. This completes the results for all regions for 1st sem Jan 2014 exams.

Jan 18, 2014, Bangalore:As per the VTU registrar announcement, VTU Results for 1st sem Bangalore and Mysore region B.E/B.Tech was supposed to be announced on Friday, 17 Jan 2014. However the University has failed to announce the result on the previously mentioned date. The articles on result being announced on 17 Jan 2014 was published on newspapers like Bangalore Mirror, Deccan Herald, Udayavani and The Hindu. All the students waited for the results being out till late night on Friday. And the results have not yet been announced. Now Students of VTU are on rage and they need answer for the failed promise.

Jan 17, 2014, Bangalore:VTU Results for B.E/B.Tech 1st and 2nd Semester will be announced today, i.e.17 January 2014 for Mysore and Bangalore Region of Dec 2013/Jan 2014 Examinations.

Bangalore, 01 March 2016: VTU B.E. 1st sem results for December 2015/January 2016 will be announced by 2nd week of March 2016. However the result dates are not yet known. The students are already in rage as the results are not yet announced. It is been more than 50 days since the exam closure. For past 2 years VTU was well known for digital evaluation and at times results were announced very quickly as in 15-20 days since exam closure.

The VTU 1st sem results will be slightly delayed as the practical exams were conducted after the theory examinations. Adding to it, this year VTU has started with the Grading system, wherein the students will not be provided with scores/marks. The students as well as the faculties are still confused with the process and procedures.

Bangalore, 14 January 2016: VTU B.E. 1st semester exam results may be announced lately, the reason being that the practical (lab) examinations for the 1st/2nd semesters were conducted after the theory examinations. The process followed by VTU is that, practical exams are carried out during the study holidays of students. But this year there had been delay in completing the portions.

VTU RESULTS JUNE \ JULY \ AUGUST 2016:
Bangalore, 22 August 2016: The VTU University has yet again failed to announce the results on time. Despite of having created the digital evaluation into being, the results have been delayed. It has been 20 days since colleges have reopened and the students have been eagerly waiting to see their scores.

The 1st and 2nd sem results are expected to be announced in another one weeks time. Having said this, the photocopy and revaluation process would take additional 1 month after last date of submission of application forms. The candidates who are in the border of having an year loss, might have to wait for another 1 month in case they are applying for revaluations.

Bangalore, 22 July 2014:VTU 1st and 2nd sem results will be announced today i.e. 22 July 2014 approximately 6 PM IST. The results will be announced Belgaum, Gulbarga and Mysore regions, conducted during May/June 2014. The Bangalore region results may be expected by tomorrow or day after just to avoid huge traffic and server problems.

Bangalore, 21 July 2014: VTU 1st and 2nd sem results will be announced tomorrow, i.e. 22 July 2014. The sources suggest that, similarly as in January 2014, the even semester results will be announced in short gap between. Sources say that results will be announced starting from the fourth week of July 2014.

As usual the results will be announced divided into 4 regions, this is just to avoid traffic on the website. Thus 2nd sem results may be split and announced in 3 days.
